I created a site a long time ago for my Dev team, unfortunately it went nowhere, but now, I am opening it again. Head over to Blakkfire Developers' website and sign up if you are a developer. (Hint, just sign in with your current User and PW on this site, and it will link you, vuala!) :-)
Okay so earlier you say this HUGE tutorial on how to root the magnificent kyocera echo, well the most amazing and one and only Saridnour has just built a simple rooting tool that does all the work for you basically!! Just a headline, Saridnour has been promoted to Site administrator, because H.T.E. would not be what it is without him!! You can head over to the forums here! Thank you again Saridnour, we cannot thank you enough!
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT, YOUR PHONE IS NOW ROOTED. HAVE FUN MODDING AND DOING WHATEVER ELSE. AS SOON AS SARIDNOUR AND H.T.E. COME OUT WITH THE RECOVERY, WE ARE ON TO CUSTOM ROMS!!!!
Thanks for supporting us this whole time,
None of us here are Apple phone users, but I feel that the least I could do was pay respects to Steve Jobs, whether you all know it or not, this man is the reason that you can utter the name Kyocera, because he was an innovator and a revolutionary. He put the touch screen media/communication area on the map, and kept the Technology community on its toes trying to keep up with the evergrowing demand that is the Apple Corporation. You may not like his products, but if you all would be so kind as to pay the man that made all of this possible, a moment of silence. Please pray for his family, Apple, Inc., and his associates. Steve Jobs will be missed forever, and he's making iPhone 5's for God's kingdom now.
R.I.P. Steve Jobs

If you come back and the site looks different, then don't freak out, we are just testing out our options with site designs, and it is simply us experimenting!
To most people, 20 doesn't seem like much, but its a stepping stone for the future of H.T.E. We now have 20 members, which is magnificent!
Now there are 2 stories that I feel needed major recognition, the Max CPU without root method by KyoceraEchoHax, and the link on how to make roms (tutorial by Cyanogen himself) posted by Dre89 in KyoceraEchoHax's post Learning How to Make Roms. If you are a Rom dev or just want to dive into it head first to get the experience, then you should really take a look at these. If you are not completely motivated, let me hit you with some facts for a second.
1. I took a look at the Cyanogenmod website, and in a blog post responding to the CM public feeling the Cyanogen has left them, a member of the Cyanogen team stated that the teams member's lives come first (Rom building is a hobby, but they still have regular lives), and that Cyanogen was hired by GOOGLE!!! He is now a major dev on the google team (but still works on Cyanogenmod of course.)
2. The MIUI rom has accumulated such a large following, that there is now a phone being built dedicated to the rom called the Mi-One!
I think that if we scope out our talents, we can be the next Cyanogenmod and/or MIUI! Im talking Kyocera building an Echo-2 or somebody getting a job on Google, simply because they displayed their talents here! I think that anyone who is a dev in the H.T.E. community should contact me as soon as possible, because I think that we should all start a project very soon. A RECOVERY IMAGE, new UI, new features, more optimizations, BETTER BATTERY LIFE, etc!! We could do all of this, but it all starts with everyone joining as one!
Thanks Echo Community,
I feel like that this deserved major recognition, so the following users:
Dave4life3, Dre89, jacobH, email@example.com, saridnour, and Gniagno
On becoming Site moderators! We need your help getting the word out there. Band the Kyocera Echo users together and lets make this site the best home for all our Echo users across the country, and maybe even the world.
Thanks for your support,
There is one question on everyone's mind with an Echo, how do you root the darn thing?? With the update release of Gingerbread 2.3.4, it's like all exploids were found and destroyed like a classic game of battlefield. Head over to the forums and see if we cant find an answer to the Million Dollar Question!
I dont think one major android phone to date hasn't had a developer community, whether short or long term. If you are a dev, and would like to start releasing some of your work, head over to Echo Development to make a name for yourself!
One of the main things that the phone happily boasts is the 1 gHz stock processor speed, which in turn opens up the door to some major time wasters. Read more... >>Here<<
Okay so a vital part of major deving is Rom developing itself, well Hear the Echo has just gotten their hands on both the stock /system directory of 2.3.4, AND the stock kernel. Then next step is to figure out a way to be able to flash the roms, head over to the forums to help us with a solution!
