Also stuck at the same issue as bushbaby... using Gingerbread 2.3.4 and SW version 2.006SP. Anybody have any suggestions?

Maybe I shouldn't have waited to root my phone until Google incurred my wrath with their bugged-up music player preventing me from doing phone calls without speakerphone or bluetooth.

Ditto. I've tried both the .bat and GUI and get no joy. Tried them both dozens of times.

Hi guys,

After nearly two months of mental debate, I tried the instructions here: http://nexgenandroidforums.freeforums.org/rooting-after-2-006-update-t64.html

And I'm happy to say I have root! Try this at your own risk, however. The poster says it and I'm saying it too.

Good luck to everyone!

Use the alternate method of installing Sardinours recovery.  It's in the first post of his thread and is the booting with volume up and power and connecting via fastboot.  He explains it well in his post.  This will get you into recovery.  Then just flash this zip which is the su binary and superuser app  https://www.dropbox.com/s/phjpzkv265m69vb/Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip

THAT FILE WORKED!

First

I realized I had to reinstall the ADB to the Program files... 86 Iduno If that really made a difference

I Took that zip file named it as update and transfered it to the root of my SD Card.

typed adb reboot recovery

Applied update from sdcard

Restarted and It worked!

Okay, I've failed numerous times. Very frusterated. I know I'm missing steps. If possible would any one be willing to pm for some one on one, step by step (detailed) help?
