Yeah, just follow my guide in the Tutorials section, the commands will work in linux just as well as in windows, I rooted in linux.

kralcrednaxela - I think if you rename the .bat to .sh and  remove the exe and dll files you should be able to use the script as long as you have the android sdk (or the adb linux files in place).

Brand new to android n the Echo is my 1St android phone. Not very familiar with this, any plans on making this into a apk file like z4root if at all possible. Would definitely be easier to root, download package n install n root, done. Thoughts?

cant get it to work. need tools for a mac.

Just follow the guide in the Tutorials section to do it manually, or change his .bat file into whatever script Macs run(not sure what it'd be, not a Apple guy)

Just have to have adb installed and your good

Gravy install

Relax...go back to the first post.  Make sure the drivers for the Echo are installed on your computer, then download the rar file in the link on the first post, open it and drag everything to your desktop.  Connect your phone to your computer, and make sure your phone is in " charge only " then click on the rootme file...after your phone reboots and you need to input SU...make sure your still in " charge only " or you'll type in SU a million times and nothing will happen...the install should work no problem...
